He Fridge Computer

The original control computer for the the He fridge was a Windows XP machines (~2005 ?).

First, a Windows 10 is installed in a computer. (spec?)

We have a Windows XP SP2 and SP3 CDs.

Download the VMware, Create a blank VM (10 GB may be enough) , set for

• windows XP 32-bit,
• enable CD-ROM, set the CD-ROM to be the windows 10 CD-ROM, also,
• set the boot order to be CD-ROM first

Put the WindowsXP SP2 CD into the CD-ROM.

Start the VM, it will load the WindowsXP, and boot from it, WindowsXP installation will be started.

It will tell you that no existing Windows installation is found, need to install a REAL windows XP disk for verification. Simply take out the SP2 CD and insert the SP3 CD inside. Once the verification is done, insert back the SP2 CD.

After a while, the installation is done, and it will start with Windows XP and ask for the CD-Key.
